CHAPPELL HILL'S 32ND ANNUAL
4TH OF JULY PARADE
10:00 am

"A Salute to Agriculture"

The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce this year’s 4th of July parade theme as “A Salute to Agriculture”.  This year’s parade will include the famous Chappell Hill Marching Kazoo band, numerous floats, antique cars, and the lawn mower brigade.  The parade begins promptly at 10 A.M. on Friday, July 4th.

“The fertile land along the Brazos River and trade and commerce history of Chappell Hill has made significant contributions to our community.  Chappell Hill is blessed to have numerous families with dairies, farm land, ranches, and one of the strongest 4-H chapters in the county- all of which make contributions to our economy through their work in agriculture.  Texas has almost twice as many farms as any other state and more than double the amount of land acreage in farms…many of those are right here in our community and county.  As a tribute to agriculture this year’s Grand Marshall will be Washington County Agriculture Extension Agent Larry Pierce,” stated Eileen Evans, President of the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce.

“We encourage youth of all ages to participate in the Marching Kazoo Band and invite everyone to the best small town parade in Texas!  This year there are two Kazoo Band practices scheduled prior to the parade (June 30 and July 2) at 7:00 P.M. at the field next to the Chappell Hill Historical Museum.  The Kazoo band will meet next to the Chappell Hill Post office at 9:30 A.M. on July 4th prior to the parade.  Anyone wanting to find out more about the Kazoo band may contact Denise or Joel Romo at 979-421-6353,” stated Evans.

Anyone interested in a parade entry application may visit any business in Chappell Hill or call Linda Kubeczka for more information at 979-836-0694.
